Poetry in Motion-Home for Christmas
The other day my friends and I enjoyed a type of poetry in motion, that we decided to create one for christmas, combining our thoughts, emotions and perspectives with in our tweets. This is a great poem, and as I was compiling it, felt that the poem should be titled "Home for Christmas"...

Home for Christmas

Once upon a time...days before christmas and all through tweet land...
When Christmas comes just once a year, snow falling, lights twinkling, in the dark and frosty air
Not a creature was stirring not even a man
Snowflakes falling, fire burning, chestnuts roasting, lovers calling,
My heart yearning for your love on Christmas Day
A stillness falls onto my mid-summer's fan...
There's no Christmas without you.
No presents under the tree
If I doubt you're not coming home
To spend time with me
In fond memory I seek for gifts by driving to the shops
Muddling my way through snow turned to slush
All the tweeters would be tired if it wasn't for the sugar rush
The 12 days of Christmas is now 13
On the 13th day you came to me.
Love & kisses you gave to me.
That silent night you sang to me.
A song of such warmth, that I now hold dear
I keep it, always, through out the year...
On the 13th day my wish came true
Peace on earth & then there's you
You make it all so fine
So make a wish it's Christmas time
Magical moments of wishes and glee...
Could it be there's really a spirit of love with in the legendary tree?
Home for Christmas I beg you please
Stuff stockings, slide down the chimney
Santa reindeer elfs and such
Home for Christmas I miss you much
I brought home the gifts and wrapped them with a wish...
Daily tweeting my friends, with out your energy to blend
A year filled with woes and pain that will last
At least I am reminded of the joys of the past
My heart fills with love at the thought of your presence...
Your never as far as a thought I have learned
But oh it is a challenge for the heart to yearn
Your presence is all the presents I need
Underneath the Christmas tree
It haunts my sleep only to be resolved by your beautiful smile
Wishes that follow me into my dreams...
Make sure you're home for Christmas
If you miss it I'll find you and bring you home to remind you

Of what Christmas really means...

Special thanks to my poetry team today, these are the souls who participated in today's poem
