Poetry in Motion (Round 2)
Creating a collective poem together in twitter with my friends was so fun, we decided to do it again! Here is our second poem :)
I called it:
Forgotten Hearts
The sun flakes fade like prints in snow; leaves of ice crisp skeletons crack a thousand half fazed dreams to melted love;
Flooding the soul in wonder, the wind shifts wildly in a stir,
Love is like a fine wine, It has no expiration and knows no time.
Your eyes said you loved me the way words couldn't mean.
Your heart belongs to me its beat spoken like a dream.
In perfect rhythm she rhymed;
Shedding light in the dark, only to find love in a broken heart...
Life comes 1st, then the thirst, for love and sex and meth.
Age draws on, the thirst is gone, no love, no sex, then death.
I yearn to hear your voice before I close my eyes.
The sweet melody of your words is like a lullaby.
Unfolding memories climb back into my mind...
I wait another day for the return of the sun to shine
The distance is an ocean keeping hearts apart.
The sea surrounds me and I can't swim but jumped in to be with him.
You make a mark, yet from what I know this will make life hard,
At times you`ll even search for an ark just to find one lonely heart
When you finally whisper in my ear & my soul hears that you are mine..??
Unkept secrets released in a world one needed to find,
Amongst the dreams of fate, ever evolving in the mind
Warm-blooded, bewildered brain, besotted I hope, put into notes, black on white, do!
They say beauty is skin deep.
But what about the way you speak & carry yourself?
The way you love like no one else?
Beauty is you
